THE RAW TRUTH

Keynotes are not just presentations; they are raw, lived-experience led conversations. Darryl Craig doesn’t talk about mental health from a textbook. He talks about the weight of silence, the pain of childhood trauma, and the stigma of male domestic abuse. His stories are grounded in real crisis points, providing a powerful, credible lens for audiences to confront the barriers that keep men in the dark. By combining professional expertise with personal history, Darryl creates a space for authentic dialogue and lasting impact.

THE WEIGHT WE CARRY

Why do men suffer in silence?

A raw, lived-experience keynote exploring the invisible burden of childhood trauma, grief, and addiction. This talk challenges the silence that defines too many men, asking why the visible warning signs are often ignored until the crisis point is reached. We explore the barriers to disclosure and the power of creating safer conversations that challenge assumptions about masculinity and mental health.

BUT I’M A MAN

A dedicated keynote about male domestic abuse, stigma and silence, informed by Darryl witnessing domestic abuse as a child and later experiencing an abusive marriage as an adult. Explicitly say this conversation does not take anything away from female survivors; it makes room for male survivors whose experiences can be dismissed, minimised or hidden because they are men. Audience takeaways: recognise less obvious forms of domestic abuse, understand barriers male survivors face, challenge stereotypes around masculinity/victimhood, and create safer routes to disclosure/support.
